Those of you who like to carry your device on your shoulder, I recommend this device as the magnet hold strong and the accessory is Southold strong to whatever you have it hooked to. It also holds a good angle to get the most out of your light.

I have owned the original lighting platform and now this Elite series platform and had purchased the clip for each. The new clip platform has a built in magnet which is nice. Like another review(s) had mentioned is that the magnet in the lighting device is strong, but when you added the clip (old device) plus any fabric, that was weakened greatly. In the new setup, the additional magnet in the clip helps boost that magnetic force, and having the extra security with the clip is a plus. When searching cars and bumping into stuff or when I had been in a couple tussles (rolling around on the ground), when clipped to my shirt, it never came off.
For mounting the device; I mounted the magnetic plate that comes with the Elite device itself to the shoulder area of my concealed body armor with zip ties, and then the light gets clipped to my duty shirt on my shoulder and the magnet in the new clip sucks down firmly to that body armor magnet so that the light doesn’t flop around during the shift. The added benefit of the magnet in the clip is that I can remove the light from my duty shirt, and then easily put the light on my traffic vest temporarily, the added magnet makes it possible to hold through all of that fabric. Additionally, at the end of the shift, when I take the light off I just stick to whatever is metal for the next day (BWC mount, locker,, ect…).
At the end of the day, if you don’t care for it, you’re only out a few bucks.

I’d give this 5 stars but I wish it was compatible with a Boston leather strap. The straps are just too thick and don’t have the correct orientation. Thoughts for future development.

I would suggest to every LEO out there to get this clip. I had the GA on me shoulder and lost it on-duty. The magnet is strong but you never know what will happen on your shift. Get it.

Excellent alternative if you prefer to wear the GA on the epaulet on your shoulder. Wearing the GA on my shoulder gives the solid light a different angle for vehicle searches or as a hands free option. Very professional looking on my uniform. The magnet is very impressive, but I also use the included screws for a more secure option. Strong, rugged design. Quality. Not cheap plastic. Can easily put on your uniform in a “click.”

I use this mount every night on duty. The magnet is extremely strong and my GA has never come off. If you are an LEO and have an epaulet this is the mount for you!

The clip works great on my uniform. I have one on my shirt and one on my jacket, all I have to do is transfer the device to and from my shirt to my jacket. It’s really easy and a great design.

This mount is great. I love the design as it keeps the device oriented in a forward position so no fumbling around to utilize the red or white light. The clip itself feels a bit weak but it didn’t release and stayed attached during a recent short foot pursuit

Although the clip adds a little bit the the overall width of the device, it’s much more sturdy on my uniform than the magnet mount was. If I had to bail out of the car, sometimes I would hit the magnet mount and it would fall off, but I have not had this issue with this clip.

The clip is good and take it’s fair share of abuse!!! Magnet is strong and haven’t had the light pop off yet. I did modify the clip as I needed the clip to work sideways.

The design, fit, and finish is awesome. The only thing I would say is that they redesign the latch to be more secure. I don’t know how well it will stay latched if you had to fight with someone.

The epaulet clip is very sturdy and attaches to the epaulet with a positive “click”. The clip is made well and should hold up in even the toughest of situations.The clip was a excellent choice and I highly recommend it.

This didn’t work for any of the radio straps of the guys I work with or my own radio strap. It’s more so a epaulet mount than anything it’s definitely not a good radio strap mount.
