I got the epaulet clip mount when I purchased my Guardian Angel unit. The clip fits well and holds the unit in the right spot so you do not have to worry about it flopping around or falling off. I truly like this mount for my uniform. It gives a strong grasp onto my epaulet and holds the Guardian Angel Light in place just great! Little to no movement and stays right in place so I don’t have to mess with my light or uniform all the time. Allows me to do my job and not have to focus on whether or not my equipment is going to hold up. I highly recommend this mount to anyone with an inner carrier, you won’t be disappointed.

I love this product it attaches right to the shoulder strap of my body armor and secures tight. No matter what I throw at this clip it still stays attached to my vest. I bought this clip to help secure my GA onto my duty vest while on duty as a police officer. I didn’t think I would need to screw it to the clip due to the magnet being strong, however, I had it fly off one day on a traffic stop when I took my seat belt off and had no idea it was even off until I was miles down the road, turns out it just flew into the backseat somehow but being able to secure it with screws (that come with) to this clip has prevented me from losing my GA. It also allows me to handle vehicles crashes, writing, etc. with ease since its attached to my shoulder and allows me to go hands free and have light without holding a flashlight.

Those of you who like to carry your device on your shoulder, I recommend this device as the magnet hold strong and the accessory is Southold strong to whatever you have it hooked to. It also holds a good angle to get the most out of your light.

I have owned the original lighting platform and now this Elite series platform and had purchased the clip for each. The new clip platform has a built in magnet which is nice. Like another review(s) had mentioned is that the magnet in the lighting device is strong, but when you added the clip (old device) plus any fabric, that was weakened greatly. In the new setup, the additional magnet in the clip helps boost that magnetic force, and having the extra security with the clip is a plus. When searching cars and bumping into stuff or when I had been in a couple tussles (rolling around on the ground), when clipped to my shirt, it never came off.
For mounting the device; I mounted the magnetic plate that comes with the Elite device itself to the shoulder area of my concealed body armor with zip ties, and then the light gets clipped to my duty shirt on my shoulder and the magnet in the new clip sucks down firmly to that body armor magnet so that the light doesn’t flop around during the shift. The added benefit of the magnet in the clip is that I can remove the light from my duty shirt, and then easily put the light on my traffic vest temporarily, the added magnet makes it possible to hold through all of that fabric. Additionally, at the end of the shift, when I take the light off I just stick to whatever is metal for the next day (BWC mount, locker,, ect…).
At the end of the day, if you don’t care for it, you’re only out a few bucks.
