Officer Richard Mazzio of the Port St. Lucie Police Department recently returned to patrol after nearly a year away – time he spent recovering after being struck roadside by a driver going more than 40 mph. Guardian Angel, with the support of Spirit of Blue Foundation, was able to grant his wish, not only supplying him with an Elite Series wearable safety light, but also providing over 200 to the department to ensure every officer could be safer on the road.
