Did not securely clip anywhere to my LE outer carrier. I ended up combining the strap with the original holder and the epaulet mount with a much better secure option.
However I’m sure for other jobs this clip would work.

Nt only does this clip reliably hold my GA on my uniform, hat, etc. When using it, it also keep my GA securely and safely on my utility belt when not in use. It is large enough to clip onto thick items, but also holds securely to my epaulets, short sleeve, or other thin material. I have a couple GA clips and accessories, but this clip is the closest thing to a universal accessory there is.

I purchased this for my work coat that does not have any shoulder tabs for mounting my Guardian Angel, this product was a game changer for me. I am able to clip it onto my collar and the weight holds it to my shoulder to give me the best visibility possible.

This clip is incredibly well built – and a bargain at it’s current price ($18).
The jaw has a wide surface area for a secure grip. The spring and magnet are also super-strong, you won’t have any 2nd thoughts that it’s not going to stay where you put it. I use it on the shoulder of a reflective safety vest, holds it perfectly in place.
