It was a little short for my needs so I got a second one and combined the two. Does the job! The clasps make it easy to remove for charging or if you wanted to slap it on something for extra lighting.

Was a good thought but I almost lost my light, had the tether on and magnetized to my shoulder while riding, wind blew my hoodie and it snagged the light, pulled it from the magnet and unclipped the tether as it was falling, felt the light hit my elbow and heard it hit the floor. Happy I saw it but upset the there clip wasn’t able to hold it.

We include a carabiner clip with this tether attachment for added versatility, but the best way to connect a device to a mount is to remove this carabiner and loop one end of the tether through the device and the other end through the mount. I got this device because I almost lost my guardian angel on patrol. It fell out in the trunk of my cruiser and didn’t find it till 5 days later. This was a good investment to make as it clips onto my vest. Now my only problem is paying $20 for a string seems like a bit too much.

I lost the first Guardian Angel and honestly don’t know where. I cover the major parts of the Kansas City Highways so it could have been lost at any point of my service. So I had to order another one and ran across the tether and it works perfectly. Allowing the safety net of the device in case it is knocked off or slips off and I would feel the device fall . So overall the tethering cord saved me from having to replace the most or one of the best Safety Devices.
We in the Emergency Response Department depend on extract advanced warning equipment in our line of work assisting Law Enforcement and Fire Departments as well as the Safety of the motorists traveling our highways.

Absolutely a must have for any patrol officer.
Keeps you from losing your gear. The magnet mount is extremely strong but can come off. Prevent yourself from losing your gear by being redundant and dummy cording it with this.

I got a new GA light to wear on my shoulder at work. I work on a fugitive apprehension team. While the magnetic mount is extremely strong, there is always the fear that the light will still somehow become dislodged. I don’t worry about this happening, now that I have this. There is still a buckle on the cord, so it can still be detached for use on day another magnetic surface if needed. Love it!

It’s a lanyard; why complicate something simple?
The lanyard is thin but feels strong. It would be nice if the cord was stiffer – in that it would make it easier to feed through the lanyard loop on the light – but for use the softer cord will doubtless be slightly more comfortable.
The QD clip is a useful feature, and as a knot enthusiast I particularly liked the knotting where the cord attached to the QD clip.

I have had my light 3 weeks, and was dropping it quite a bit as I am well known for my “butter fingers”. I have since began using the tether I bought with it, and after a week, I can safely say it is great! It keeps the device secure, the lanyard feels sturdy (unlike the cheap ones you may get off of Amazon), and the detachable clip on the lanyard makes it even more functional. Thank you, Guardian Angel, for making a truly functional, sturdy, and amazing product!!

I purchased tethers from Amazon and found that Guardian sells their own. What I like about Guardians is they have a quick release. Makes removing the guardian easier for when charging. I used it on my motorcycle with a guardian suction mount

I bought this to protect my GA micro nav-light in case the device goes overboard from my inflatable kayak. I bought the long lanyard to easily clip to a D-ring in the bow of my hull. Woks perfectly.

The tether is a beautiful feature and essential for ensuring the Guardian Angel remains affixed when you are at a scene, throwing bags over your shoulder, or in and out of a vehicle wearing a seatbelt shoulder strap. The design is simple, and while I do like the detachable clip, you could probably make the same thing yourself with some cord and a carabiner. Unfortunately my carabiner broke only after a few uses and several other individuals in my agency have had the same fate happen to their carabiners.

For those who don’t know, foot chases on tv are nothing like real foot chases. Things tend to go flying and I originally bought this for my GA device, but it works exactly how I need it, so I ordered more! Now it’s hooked to my lapel mic, bought a couple for my partner for his gear. Sometimes the simplest fixes are the best and this is it!!!
