I run well before daybreak and have never found a solution that provides sufficient light to feel very confident I can see my path clearly. Would a GA unit with jaw clip be a good solution. Any input/advice greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the inquiry Karen! The best lightweight option would be a Micro device with the standard magnetic disk it comes with. This can be worn anywhere on your person. If you choose a device with a white front, it will provide you a very robust hands free white flood light to the front, and due to the device projecting light 360 degrees, you’ll also be highly visible from behind as well. I bought this to be able to use my GA light anywhere and with the jaw clip i can go from my vest to jacket with no issues, It attaches to places that are too thick for the standard magnetic mount.

The Guardian Angel Jaw Clip mount is strong, secure and super-versatile. It attaches to places that are too thick for the standard magnetic mount and places where the arm band mount just doesn’t work. It is small and comfortable enough to attach to the side of a hat and strong enough to attach to my dog’s harness. Belts, belt loops, pockets, straps, backpacks…the options for using the Jaw Clip mount seem to be limited only by one’s imagination.

The mount feels well made and sturdy though it is made with plastic so I would try to not abuse it. It clips well to radio tabs and epaulettes and serves as something to quickly mount and remove from uniforms. This may work as a better option if you are hoping to not have the mount permanently stuck to your belt/kit.

Plenty of friction in the grip, but it could hold a bit tighter, best to clamp on thinner things like clothing
